- Roller pressure: Set the pressure of the rollers to minimum so as not to crush the wire
- Capillary tube: Do not use a capillary tube when welding aluminium
- Torch: When welding aluminium use a special aluminium torch with Teflon sheath to reduce friction. Do not cut the
sheath near the connector! It is used to guide the wire from the rollers.
- Contact Tip: Use the specific Aluminium contact tip corresponding to the diameter of the wire.
SEMI-AUTOMATIC WELDING WITH CUSI AND CUAL WIRE (BRAZING MODE)
The PULSEMIG can weld with CuSi and CuAl wire of 0.8/1.
The same as with steel, the capillary tube must be connected and a torch with a steel liner must be used.
In brazing mode the operator must use pure argon (Ar).
REEL AND TORCH ASSEMBLY
• Remove the nozzle (fig F) and the contact tube (fig E). Open the door of the PULSEMIG.
Fig A:
• Position the wire reel on the support:
- Pay attention to the driving pin when positioning the reel. To set up a wire reel of 200mm, tighten the wire reel to
maximum.
• Adjust the brake (2) to avoid reel movement tangling the wire when welding stops. Be careful not to tighten too much.
Fig B:
• The drive rollers included have 2 grooves (0.8 and 1.0). The visible diameter indicated on the roller when fitted in
place is the diameter currently in use (ie. 0.8mm is visible for use with 0.8mm wire). To weld aluminium or gasless wire,
use the appropriate drive rollers.
Fig C:
To select the adjustment of the drive rollers
• Loosen the drive roller knob (4) as far as possible and insert the wire, tighten the knob again slightly
• Start the motor by pressing the trigger of the torch
• Tighten the knob whilst pressing the trigger until the wire starts to move.
Nb: When welding with Aluminium, use the minimum possible pressure to avoid crushing the wire
• Let about 5cm of wire out of the torch, then put the contact tube (fig. E), and the nozzle (fig. F) adapted to the wire
to be used at the extremity
Remarks:
• A narrow liner may result in issues causing the wire feeder to overheat.
• The torch connection must be tightened propertly to avoid overheating.
• Check the wire and the reel are not in contact with the body of the welding equipment to avoid any short circuit.
GAS COUPLING
The PULSEMIG is equipped with a quick connector. Use the adapter supplied with the machine. This machine can be
fitted with a Ø 200mm or 300 mm reel.

CONTROL BOARD

- A: The navigation in the top menu must be done with the left button. The selection/ validation by push the same button.
- B: The navigation in the bottom menu must be done with the right button. The selection/ validation by push the same button.
- The unlock code is: 0000
- To update the welding parameters, insert the SD card and stop then start the machine.
- A full reset of the machine can be done in option menu, the process requires 1 minute and the SD card.
