If you use tracks with ID3 tags the maximum
number of files is reduced.
Bosch cannot guarantee the proper functioning
of all USB data carriers available on the market.
ID3 tags
MP3 tracks can contain additional information
such as the artist, album and track name (ID3
tags). This device can display version 1 and 2
ID3 tags.
Connecting a USB data carrier and
starting USB operation
In order to be able to connect a USB data
carrier (e.g. a USB stick or a USB drive) the
USB cable must be connected to the mini-USB
socket 8 .
f Connect the USB device to the USB cable.

As soon as a USB data carrier is connected, it
can be selected with the SRC < button. The
display shows "USB".
Displaying time elapsed or remain-
ing
In order to change between display of the
elapsed or remaining time in the current track,
f Press the 6 : button.
Displaying track information (ID3
tags)
If the MP3 data carrier provides ID3 tags, the
information for every track is shown once on
the display as scrolling text at the start of the
track. If no ID3 tags were stored with the MP3
files, the file name is displayed.
Note:
For storing ID3 tags, please also read
the instructions for your PC MP3
software or burner software.
Displaying track information once
as scrolling text
f Press the 5 : button.
The ID3 tags for the current track are shown
once as scrolling text on the display.
Note:
This function is not available if the
display of track information as
scrolling text is switched off. Please
read the section below: "Switching
the display of track information as
scrolling text on/off (SCRL)"
