LIPROTEC-P Operating Instructions
The mounting profiles are to be mounted in such a way that an LED tube can be inserted in
the mounting profiles at a later stage. The cable opening in the mounting profiles must be in
the area of a cavity wall socket with sealing collar. The areas of the opening of the cavity wall
socket with sealing collar, which remain free next to the mounting profile, must be protected
against the penetration of adhesive by means of a self-adhesive sealing membrane.
1. Align the position of the cable opening in the mounting profile with the position of the
sealing membrane.
2. Cut the mounting profiles to the desired length in such a way that there can be a cable
opening in the area of a cavity wall socket with sealing collar when installed.
3. Tile the mounting profiles in accordance with the state of the art. The penetration of mois-
ture into the cavity wall socket with sealing collar above the adhesive surfaces must be
permanently prevented in this regard.
4. If necessary, fit the open ends of mounting profiles with mounting profile end caps and tile
these as well.
> The mounting profiles are fixed and a plug can be inserted through the cable open-
ings into the sealing collar located underneath.

If LED tubes are cut to length, they are no longer protected against moisture. This is why a
silicone sealing cap needs to be attached after the LED tubes have been cut to length. In or-
der to ensure clean cutting surfaces and sufficiently precise 45° cuts, we recommend cutting
LED tubes only with Schlüter
marks, the area up to the next separation mark remains continuously unlit.
