Temporary Wedge Placement
• Cut the wedge to the width of the foot module.
• Roughen the upper and lower surface of the wedge with
abrasive paper.
• Place the wedge in the foot/heel junction.
• Secure in position, bond the wedge to upper surface with tape
wrapped around the foot module.
Permanent Wedge Placement
• Apply adhesive on the upper side of the wedge only.
• Locate in the foot/heel junction and position before adhesive sets.
• For split toe feet install the heel wedge then remove a thin slice in the
middle by cutting with a sharp knife through the split in the carbon
foot module.
LAMINATION TECHNIQUE
• Mark alignment position after dynamic alignment and remove foot
module from socket.
Note: If alignment wedges are straight, both wedges may be removed to
decrease clearance and complexity! This will lower the height by 6mm.
• Invert the socket and clamp securely in the lamination jig.
• Clean the groove of the aluminum socket adapter with acetone or
similar to ensure maximum bonding of the fibers to the aluminum.
• Roughen attachment surfaces and seal center hole (by using
plasticine or similar).
• Apply appropriate carbon lay-up (see table 1). Tie off the overhanging
braids around the base grove using a heavy thread. Ensure that the tie
stays tight.
• Finish with a stockinette for cosmetic finish, if desired.
• Pull a PVA bag and laminate with acrylic or epoxy resin.
• Tape with PVC-tape around the distal end.
• Tie off excess resin before it reaches the gel state. Allow resin
to harden.
• Grind off the excess hardened resin around the edge of the aluminum
socket adapter. Expose the attachment surface. Care must be taken
not to grind the aluminum piece itself!

*The appropriate number of layers depends on user activity and weight
and must be evaluated by the CPO. It is recommended to use heavy
