7.3 Configuring the signal processing

ATTENTION Combined with the control program, the signal pro-
cessor is an effective tool for making slightest but also
major changes to the transmission properties of the
amplifier .
Therefore, any change of parameter should be
carefully considered and be made with the required
expertise . In the worst case, extreme changes of the
settings may damage the speakers .
To configure the amplifier, click the button
amplifier (
figs . 6, 7) .
The configuration window (fig . 9) with the view MAIN for the unit
selected will appear . The colour field on the left next to UNIT CON-
NECTION [2] will indicate the connection status of the unit . When the
colour field is green, a data connection has been established . When
the colour field is red, the connection has been interrupted and it
is not possible to change the setting . If the user tries to change the
setting, a corresponding message will appear .
In case of connection, any setting changed on the screen will
be immediately transferred to the unit . It is possible to save the set-
tings as presets on the computer and in the unit (
Furthermore, it can be defined if a specific preset or the previous
settings will be loaded when the unit is switched on (
The buttons at the top [1] can be used to switch to the views of
the input channels IN-A and IN-B (fig . 10) . However, this will only be
possible at the access level "Administrator" . To return to the main
view, click the button MAIN .

7.3.1 Signal path

Figure 8 shows a block diagram of the path a signal takes through
the amplifier . There are two basic configurations; to select a config-
uration, load the corresponding preset (
PRESET [5], LOAD) . The basic configurations can be used as the basis
for user-defined presets .
