6.1.3 Anschluß REM (16)

Die Car-HiFi-Endstufe wird durch eine Steuerspan-

nung von +12 V am Anschluss REM ein- und ausge-

schaltet. Den Anschluss REM mit dem 12-V-Aus-

gang vom Autoradio verbinden (Anschluss für eine

Motorantenne, eventuell mit der Motorantenne

parallelschalten).

Wenn kein 12-V-Ausgang am Autoradio vorhan-

den ist, muss der Anschluss REM eine 12-V-Span-

nung über das Zündschloss oder über einen sepa-

raten Schalter erhalten.

6.2 Line-Ein- und Ausgang

1) Den Eingang INPUT (5) für den linken Kanal

(Buchse CH1) und rechten Kanal (Buchse CH2)

über ein Cinch-Kabel mit dem Line-Ausgang am

Autoradio verbinden. Ist am Autoradio kein Line-

Ausgang vorhanden, können die Lautsprecher-

ausgänge des Autoradios über einen entspre-

chenden Übertrager (z. B. FGA-20 von CAR-

POWER) mit den Buchsen INPUT der Endstufe

verbunden werden.

2) Den Line-Eingang der Endstufe für die Hauptlaut-

sprecher über ein Cinch-Kabel an die Buchsen

OUTPUT (6) anschließen. Das Ausgangssignal

an diesen Buchsen ist unabhängig von den Ein-

stellungen am WANTED-1/800D. Es entspricht

dem Eingangssignal an den Buchsen INPUT.

6.3 Lautsprecher

Den Subwoofer (Impedanz min. 2 Ω) mit den An-

schlüssen + und - (18) verbinden. Die beiden

Anschlusspaare sind parallelgeschaltet, sodass bei

Bedarf auch zwei Subwoofer mit einer Impedanz

von mindestens 4 Ω angeschlossen werden können.

Wichtig! Bei der Auswahl geeigneter Lautspre-

cher unbedingt deren mechanische und

elektrische Belastbarkeit im Zusam-

menhang mit der genutzten Endstufen-

leistung berücksichtigen (siehe auch

technische Daten der Endstufe Seite 7).

6.2 Line input and output

1) Connect the INPUT (5) for the left channel (jack

CH1) and the right channel (jack CH2) via a cable

with phono connectors to the line output on the

car radio. If no line output is provided on the car

radio, the speaker outputs of the car radio can be

connected via a corresponding transformer (e. g.

FGA-20 by CARPOWER) to the jacks INPUT of

the power amplifier.

2) Connect the line input of the power amplifier for

the main speakers via a cable with phono

connectors to the jacks OUTPUT (6). The output

signal at these jacks is independent of the adjust-

ments on the WANTED-1/800D. It corresponds

to the input signal at the jacks INPUT.

6.3 Speakers

Connect the subwoofer (impedance 2 Ω as a mini-

mum) to the connections + and - (18). Both terminal

pairs are connected in parallel so that two sub-

woofers with an impedance of 4 Ω as a minimum

may also be connected, if required.

Important! When choosing suitable speakers, pay

in any case attention to their mechani-

cal and electrical capability in connec-

tion with the applied power of the

power amplifier (also see specifica-

tions of the power amplifier on page 7).

6.4 Cable remote control

Mount the cable remote control (8) within the driver's

reach. Connect the cable to the jack BASS

REMOTE (7).

6.4 Kabelfernbedienung

Die Kabelfernbedienung (8) in Fahrerreichweite

montieren. Das Anschlusskabel in die Buchse BASS

REMOTE (7) stecken.

7 Inbetriebnahme

Vor dem ersten Einschalten sollte die kom-

plette Verdrahtung der Car-HiFi-Endstufe

noch einmal auf Richtigkeit überprüft werden.

Erst danach die Minusklemme der Autobatte-

rie wieder anschließen.

1) Die Trennfrequenz mit dem Regler LP (3) einstel-

len (je niedriger die obere Grenzfrequenz, desto

schwerer die akustische Ortung eines Sub-

woofers; je höher die Grenzfrequenz, desto brei-

ter die Bassunterstützung). Zur Orientierung die

technischen Daten der eingesetzten Lautspre-

cher beachten.

2) Mit dem Regler SUBSONIC (4) die untere Grenz-

frequenz des Subwoofers einstellen. Der Sub-

woofer wird so durch das Infraschallfilter vor zu

tiefen Frequenzen geschützt.

3) Den Regler LEVEL (2) entgegen dem Uhrzeiger-

sinn auf Minimum (Position 8 V) stellen.

4) Die gesamte Car-HiFi-Anlage einschalten. Die

grüne Betriebsanzeige POWER (11) und der

Schriftzug CARPOWER im Fenster auf der Gerä-

teoberseite leuchten. Nach ca. 3 Sekunden,

wenn die LED OVER CURRENT STATUS (12)

erlischt, liegt das Ausgangssignal am Lautspre-

cheranschluss an (Einschaltverzögerung).

5) Die Signalquelle, z. B. das Autoradio, auf maxi-

male, nicht verzerrende Lautstärke einstellen

(z. B.

vom Maximum).

Tip: Um Störeinstrahlungen durch die Autoelek-

trik so gering wie möglich zu halten, sollte

der Ausgangspegel der Signalquelle min-

destens 1,5 V betragen.

7 Setting into Operation

Prior to switching on the unit for the first time,

the complete wiring of the car HiFi power

amplifier should be checked once again for

correct connection. Only then connect the

negative terminal of the car battery again.

1) Adjust the crossover frequency with the control

LP (3) [the lower the upper limit frequency, the

more difficult the acoustic location of a sub-

woofer; the higher the limit frequency, the more

powerful the bass support]. As a guidance

observe the specifications of the speakers used.

2) With the control SUBSONIC (4) adjust the lower

limit frequency of the subwoofer. Thus, the sub-

woofer is protected by the infrasound filter

against frequencies that are too low.

3) Adjust the control LEVEL (2) counterclockwise to

minimum (position 8 V).

4) Switch on the entire car HiFi system. The green

POWER LED (11) and the lettering CARPOWER

in the window on the upper side of the unit light

up. After approx. 3 seconds, when the LED

OVER CURRENT STATUS (12) extinguishes,

the output signal is present at the speaker

connection (switch-on delay).

5) Adjust the signal source, e.g. the car radio, to the

maximum, non-distorting volume (e. g.

maximum).

Note: To keep the interferces by the electric

system of the car as low as possible, the

output level of the signal source should be

1.5 V as a minimum.

6) With the control LEVEL match the volume of the

subwoofer to that of the main speakers.

7) With the cable remote control (8) the volume of the

subwoofer can be corrected from the driver's seat

according to music piece and personal feeling.

The green indicating LED REMOTE (9) lights up

as soon as the WANTED-1/800D is switched on.

6) Mit dem Regler LEVEL die Lautstärke des Sub-

woofers an die der Hauptlautsprecher anpassen.

7) Mit der Kabelfernbedienung (8) kann die Laut-

stärke des Subwoofers je nach Musikstück und

persönlichem Empfinden vom Fahrersitz aus kor-

rigiert werden. Die grüne Kontroll-LED REMOTE

(9) leuchtet, sobald der WANTED-1/800D einge-

schaltet ist.

8 Fehlerbeseitigung

Ist nach dem Einschalten der Car-HiFi-Anlage kein

Ton zu hören, den Fehler mit Hilfe der drei LEDs

(11 – 13) näher lokalisieren.

8.1 Die grüne LED POWER (11) leuchtet nicht

1) Die Sicherungen (17) an der Car-HiFi-Endstufe

(je 40 A) und die Vorsicherung an der Autobatte-

rie (80 A) überprüfen. Defekte Sicherungen aus-

wechseln. Nur Sicherungen mit den angegebe-

nen Werten verwenden. Auf keinen Fall einen

höheren Wert einsetzen. Die Endstufe kann

beschädigt werden und die Garantie erlischt.

2) Das 12-V-Stromversorgungskabel sowie das Mas-

sekabel auf korrekten Anschluss und Unterbre-

chung kontrollieren.

3) Am Anschluss REM (16) messen, ob +12 V an-

liegt. Wenn nicht, die Leitung des Anschlusses

REM entfernen. Die Anschlüsse REM und +12 V

(15) kurzzeitig überbrücken. Schaltet die End-

stufe jetzt ein, liegt der Fehler in der fehlenden

Steuerspannung. Den 12-V-Ausgang des Autora-

dios (bzw. den separaten Schalter oder das Zünd-

schloß) und das entsprechende Anschlusskabel

zur Car-HiFi-Endstufe überprüfen.

8.2 Die rote LED TERMAL STATUS leuchtet

Wird die Endstufe durch ungenügende Belüftung

überhitzt, schaltet die interne Schutzschaltung den

Lautsprecherausgang stumm. Die rote LED TER-

If there is no sound after switching on the car HiFi

system, locate the fault more precisely by means of

the three LEDs (11 – 13).

8.1 The green POWER LED (11) does not light

1) Check the fuses (17) on the car HiFi power ampli-

fier (40 A each) and the additional fuse on the car

battery (80 A). Replace defective fuses. Only use

fuses with the values as indicated. Do not insert

fuses with a higher value under any circum-

stances. The power amplifier may be damaged,

and the guarantee will expire.

2) Check the 12 V power supply cable as well as the

ground cable for correct connection and interrup-

tion.

3) Check if +12 V is present at the terminal REM

(16). If not, remove the cable on the terminal

REM. Short-circuit the terminals REM and +12 V

(15) for a short time. If the power amplifier

switches on now, the fault is due to the missing

control voltage. Check the 12 V output of the car

radio (or the separate switch or the ignition lock)

and the corresponding connection cable to the

car HiFi power amplifier.

8.2 The red LED TERMAL STATUS lights up

of the

If the power amplifier is overheated by insufficient

ventilation, the internal protective circuit mutes the

speaker output. The red indicating LED TERMAL

STATUS (13) lights up. An improved ventilation of

the power amplifier must be provided, if required by

a separate fan directed to the power amplifier. After

cooling-off, the power amplifier switches on again

automatically.
