Function and application

The electric mini-slide SLTE is a non-rotating spindle drive with roll barrel guide
and integrated motor unit.
The rotary movement of the motor converts a sliding thread drive (rotating spindle
with spindle nut on SLTE-...-LS) internally into a linear movement. The sliding
thread drive moves the drive rod backwards and forwards. By means of a rigid
connection, the slide also moves. The brushed DC motor with encoder supplies
signals to the higher-order controller. The encoder signals transmit the rotation
angle of the motor to the controller type SFC-DC. The controller, which operates in
a closed-loop circuit, regulates the current, speed and position of the motor to the
specified nominal values with a high degree of accuracy.
The electric mini-slide SLTE has been designed to be used in conjunction with the
motor controller SFC-DC for the space-saving transport of mass loads with a high
degree of positioning accuracy. It is not permitted for use in yoke mode or for man­
ufacturing processes which are sensitive to copper or PTFE.

Transport and storage

Danger of injury from shearing, squeezing and pushing
Because the spindle does not have automatic locking, holding the slide unit on
the slide itself can cause insecure hold, so the slide unit may slip during trans­
portation, installation and decommissioning.
S Make sure that the slide is secured against moving when it is in the
de-energised state.

Take the weight of the SLTE into consideration.
Depending on the design, the SLTE weighs over 2.2 kg.

Ensure the following storage conditions:
– short storage times and
– Storage locations should be cool, dry and shady to prevent corrosion.
