Searching by the Time/Date of
Recording
You can find and play back a picture recorded on the
normal or alarm recording area at the specified time
and date.

Select TIME/DATE SEARCH on the SEARCH
menu.
The TIME/DATE SEARCH display appears

The date and time of the oldest recording is
displayed on the RECORDING TOP line, and that
of the latest one is on the RECORDING END line.

Specify the recording date and time of the picture
to be found.
Set the value with the Jog dial and turn the Shuttle
dial clockwise to move to the next column (turn it
counterclockwise to return).

Specify the channel (camera number).
To preview the picture as a thumbnail image
Highlight PREVIEW and turn the Shuttle dial
clockwise.
The unit searches for the event recorded at the date and
time you specified and displays its thumbnail image in
the preview zone.
If there is no event recorded at the specified date/time,
the image from the closest date and time is displayed.
The unit searches the alarm recording area first, then
the normal recording area.
To display the picture full-screen
Highlight VIEW and turn the Shuttle dial clockwise.
The unit enter Playback mode with full-screen display,
starting from the picture recorded at the specified date
and time.

Searching on the Archive Area

You can find and play back the pictures stored in the
archive area.

Select ARCHIVE AREA SEARCH on the
SEARCH menu.
The ARCHIVE AREA SEARCH display appears,
showing the list of the events stored in the archive
area.
Each event is listed with its number, date and the
time of the first picture.

The total size and used size of the archive area are
displayed under CAPACITY.
The list can display up to 8 events at once.

Turn the Jog dial to highlight the desired events.
When one second has elapsed after you highlight,
the thumbnail image of the first picture of the
selected event is displayed in the preview zone.

Turn the Shuttle dial clockwise.
The unit enters Playback mode, and the pictures of
the selected event are played full-screen.
Searching Using the Activity
Detection Sensor
The built-in activity detection sensor permits you to
find and play back the picture for which activity
(change in luminance) has been detected at specified
points during the specified time period.
You can search both the normal and alarm recording
areas.
