2.2 Setup menu

When switching on the controller for the first time all parameters are set to default values.
Before first use of the controller with a hot press set parameters according to press requi-
rements. If system behavior of the press is not known, set control parameters according to
section 2.3. Only instructed personnel is allowed to adjust system settings. Wrong system
parameters may cause risks, damage the controller and the press and/or lead to poor work
results. Use key [3]
keys
and
Use key [6] Confirm/OK
As a general rule: Values that are entered are only valid within a specific range. If the value that
is entered is e.g. higher than the upper limit, the value will automatically be corrected to the
upper limit when confirmed. Also when the entered value is lower than the minimum value it
will automatically be corrected to the minimum value.

2.2.1 Alarm

Alarm: It is possible to set a „prewarning time", which triggers an acoustic warning signal
when the remaining dwell time is smaller or equal to the pre-warning time.
The alarm that sounds can either be switched off with keys [5]
ly stops sounding at the latest after 30 seconds.
The alarm is a general and not a recipe-specific alarm; there is therefore no possibility to have
different settings for different recipes. Should different alarm times be required for different
recipes, the alarm time has to be set manually for each application.
Example:
Let's assume that it is e.g. necessary to tighten the press manually 30 seconds before the
end of the (total) dwell time, e.g. in case of lap welding; then the alarm is switched on and the
alarm time set to 30 seconds. The alarm will sound 30 seconds before the end of the dwell
time and will thus notify about the relevant action.
