1.
Close the appliance, plug the mains plug of the appliance into an electrical
outlet (220-240 V~, 50 Hz). The red operating indicator light is illuminated
and shows that the appliance is in operation.

Note: Before preparing the first waffle cups, lightly grease both baking sur-

backing surfaces with a non-stick baking spray. Then repeat this procedure
frequently, however it is not necessary to grease the baking surfaces before
each baking process. Brushing the backing surfaces frequently with shorten-
ing facilitates removal of the finished waffle cups.
3.
Wait until the green indicator light is illuminated. This takes approx. 3 to
8 minutes. Note concerning the baking signal lights: Whenever the green
light is illuminated, this means that the proper temperature has again been
reached, however it does not mean that the waffle cups are ready. The bake
time of the waffle cups depends on the batter used and your personal taste.
Consequently, before removing the waffle cups, please check whether they
are done the way you want them.
4.
Open the appliance.
5.
Now ladle the batter (approx. 30 ml per batter recess, this is about the size
of a small sauce ladle) into the two lower batter recesses with a ladle. When
closing the appliance the batter is distributed uniformly. Always ensure that
