5.4 If required: wind up the power cord

WARNING:
Danger of scalding! The appliance continues to run. Even after you have
pulled the mains plug from the socket, hot steam will continue to be
available.
ATTENTION:
Wash the cleaning cloths after each cleaning session.

5.6 If required: decalcify the appliance

NOTE:
In areas with hard water, we recommend using distilled water in the
appliance or at least to decalcify it more often.
NOTE:
If you use only distilled water, the appliance does not have to be decalci-
fied.
NOTE:
To decalcify the appliance you may as an exception add biologic decalci-
fying agent to the water in the tank. This is the only exception.

have purchased by reordering.

NOTE:
If you have mounted and parked the extension tubes and the floor noz-
zle as described (ZChapter 5.3, "Storing the device"), you can wind the
power cord around the cable storage hooks (Fig. 24/A,B).
NOTE:
If you want to unwind the power cord quickly before using the appliance,
turn the rotatable cable storage hook (Fig. 24/A) through 180° and take
the entire cable off.
Care for the cleaning-cloths (Fig. 1/31,36) as follows:
Wash normally at 60 degrees.
Do not bleach.
Do not put in a dryer.
Do not iron.
Do not clean chemically.
Decalcify the appliance approx. every six months to extend its service life.
1. Fill the water tank with clear, cold water and add biological decalcifier
(available commercially). Follow the decalcifier manufacturer's instruc-
tions on use and dosage.
2. Direct the steam pistol into a container which can collect the steam.
3. Connect the appliance to the mains.
4. Wait until the appliance is steam-ready and then let the decalcifying so-
lution run through for about 5 minutes.
5. Then wait another 5 minutes with the appliance still plugged in.
6. Repeat this procedure three times and dispose of the remaining solu-
tion.
