The slide control (3) can be used to adjust the size of the slit. The loupe provides magnification in the left and
right working position.
With the loupe attachment HSL 10x (5), the magnification is increased by 10x. See figures

HSL 150 is intended for a brief examination of less than 2 minutes with a 15 minutes break until the next

application.
The setup and operation of the HEINE handles are described in a separate instruction for use.
Hygienic Reprocessing
Instructions on hygienic reprocessing must be adhered to, based on national standards, laws and guidelines.
Classification according to KRINKO: non-critical
Spaulding Classification USA: non-critical
Allow the device to cool down before reprocessing.
In the event of suspected contamination, carry out hygienic preparation of the instrument.
The described cleaning and disinfection measures do not replace the specific rules applicable for the
establishment.
HEINE Optotechnik only approves the agents and procedures mentioned below. Other procedures/
reprocessing agents have to be validated.
Cleaning and disinfection may only be carried out by personnel with sufficient hygienic knowledge.
Observe the instructions of the disinfectant manufacturer.
Do not use spray or immersion disinfection, dripping wet or heavily foaming tissues. Do not use automated
or ultrasonic reprocessing.
Procedure
The HSL 150 can be cleaned and disinfected manually (wipe clean and wipe disinfect).
Recommended agents:
Cleaning agent: Neodisher
Disinfectant agent: alcoholic (e.g. Incides
Changing the light source
Verify that the lamp voltage complies with the supply voltage of the handle.
Allow the device to cool down before changing the bulb.
Remove the HSL from HEINE handle, unscrew the connector (4) and pull off the bulb (6) carefully.
Wipe the glass of the new bulb with a soft, clean cloth and insert the bulb so that the pin (7) coincides
with the groove.
Screw the connector (4) back in.
Maintenance and Service
The instruments do not require maintenance or service.
General Warnings
Check the correct operation of the device before use! Do not use the device if there are visible signs of
damage or the light begins to flash.
Do not use the device in fire- or explosive risk area (e.g. oxygen saturated or anaesthetic environments).
Do not modify the device.
Use only original HEINE parts, spare parts, accessories and power sources.
Repairs shall only be carried out by qualified persons.
General Notes
The warranty for the entire product is invalidated if non-genuine HEINE products or non-original parts are
used and if repairs or modifications are made to the device by persons not authorized by HEINE. For more
information, please visit www.heine.com.
If you don't use the device for a longer period of time, please remove the batteries in advance.
