6. CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Due to the high loads to which the LX CLAW is exposed, it must be visually in-
spected after each use, or once a year�
ATTENTION!
Clean off any dirt before checking the equipment�
WARNING / CAUTION / ATTENTION!
To perform maintenance and repairs, personal safety equipment
appropriate for the work is a mandatory requirement�
6.1 Visual inspection
• No obvious visible deformations present (smaller material protrusions or defor-
mations in the area around the claw tips are acceptable)
• No cracks in the material or weld seams
• No traces of abrasion or depressions deeper than 3 mm on the support sur-
face (rescue ram)�
• No serious damage to the surface protection (otherwise corrosion may devel-
op at these points over time)�
• The ram support must not show any signs of severe corrosion�
