5.9 Exiting the furnace
WARNING!
Direct flame to MI cable should be avoided
Exposure to direct flame could inhibit sensor performance
▶ Ensure the cable does not pass through direct flame. The sensor should exit
the furnace as per installation requirements/best practices for routing.
The sensor should exit the furnace as per installation requirements. MI cable must follow
best practices for routing.
5.9.1 Fixed exit
Assemble the process neck tube as per the installation.
Install and tighten compression fitting to manufacturer's specifications, if included.
WARNING!
Tightening compression fitting at the correct location
The sensor/transition may be damaged if tightened near the transition region
▶
Do not place compression fitting on the transition.
Assemble instrument neck tube as per the installation requirement.
If applicable, attach connection head.
Route sensor or connection wires to termination location and complete electrical
connection.
