7. Moisten the outside of the rubber frame and the inside of the visor
frame with soapy water.
8. Press on the visor frame, top half first, then lower half.
9. Insert the support plate if necessary.
10. Full-face masks with metal visor frame:
Screw the screws into the hex nuts and tighten them until the
distance between the clamping pins is 3 to 0.5 mm.
11. Full-face masks with plastic visor frame:
Insert the screws and tighten them until there is no gap remaining
between the upper and lower visor frame.
4.4.2
Replacing the equipment connector
1. Pull the inner mask out of the groove in the threaded ring.
2. Open the clamping ring with a screwdriver.
3. Remove clamping ring and the parts underneath it (slip ring and
support plate).
4. Pull the equipment connector out of the mask body.
5. Fit the new equipment connector with speech diaphragm and
inhalation and exhalation valves and insert the equipment
connector so that the midposition markers of the equipment
connector and mask body line up.
6. Fit the slip ring and new clamping ring.
7. Attach the hook to ensure the tightest possible fit of the clamping
ring.
8. Push the support plate between the clamping ring and the slip ring;
fit it into the lower visor frame and align.
9. Compress the nose on the clamping ring with pliers until the
equipment connector is securely located in the mask body.
10. Attach the inner mask. Make sure that the edge is positioned in the
groove all around. The midposition markers of the equipment
connector and the inner mask must line up.

4.4.3
Replacing the valve discs on the check valves
1. Pull out the old valve disc towards the inside.
2. Insert the stud of the new valve disc into the hole from inside, and
pull it towards the visor until the recess of the stud is visible.
The valve discs should make even contact with the inside surface.
4.4.4
Replacing the speech diaphragm or O-ring
1. Pull the inner mask out of the groove in
the screw ring.
2. Unscrew the threaded ring with the pin
spanner.
3. Turn pin spanner around and carefully
insert it in the holes of the protective
screen. Do not damage the diaphragm.
4. Twist the speech diaphragm loose and
remove it.
5. Remove the O-ring from the equipment connector using the
sealing ring lifter.
6. Check the speech diaphragm and O-ring, and replace if
necessary.
7. Attach the inner mask. Make sure that the edge is positioned in the
groove all around. The midposition markers of the equipment
connector and in the inner mask must line up.
4.4.5
Replacing the exhalation valve disc
1. Visually inspect the exhalation valve disc (see chapter 4.3.3 on
page 18).
2. Fit the exhalation valve cover. Ensure that it engages.
