La tension générée par la gamme WPS est
de type redressée bialternance : elle n’est
donc ni sinusoïdale ni alternative.
Elle ne peut être lue directement qu'avec
les voltmètres RMS AC+DC (type 3) en
position AC+DC :

2 .1 . General Information (Figure 1)
The WPS 361 and WPS 362 models have
the feature being STABILISED thanks to the
use of a high frequency chopper supply
using MOS technology.
They allow the lighting systems of operating
units to maintain constant illumination
irrespective of mains variations resulting
from the starting up of heavy power-
consumption equipments (for example
radiology devices, etc..)
The power supply is controlled at very low
voltage not requiring the use of large-
diameter cables.
In order to extend the service life of the
halogen bulbs, a “slow start” system
adapted to the bulbs makes it possible to
deliver a progressive start-up voltage over
0.2s until the nominal stabilised current is
reached.
Theory:

(Direct Current) setting and the rms of
pure sinusoidal current in the AC
(Alternating Current) setting.
2 . Efficient (route mean square) or TRMS
(true rms) voltmeters further display the
rms of any alternating currents or
quelcon-
voltages (whether or not sinusoidal). For
example, " triac"
(graduator).
3 . RMS voltmeters AC + DC read the rms
of any current.
e.g.: METRIX MX53, MX54, MX55,
MX56/FLUKE 123/…
The voltage generated by the WPS range is
of the bialternating rectified type. For this
reason it is considered to be neither sinusoidal
nor alternating.
The voltage may only be read directly with
RMS AC + DC type (type 3) voltmeters set
to AC + DC position:

It is however also possible to use type 1 or
2 voltmeters, so long as care is taken to
multiply the DC values read by a correction
coefficient: Vefficient = Vdc (2Ö2PI).
As a practical example, let us assume the

La gama WPS, que genera una tensión de
tipo rectificada bialternante que, por lo mismo,
no es ni sinusoidal ni alterna.
Esta sólo puede ser leída directamente con
voltímetros RMS AC + DC (tipo 3) en la
posición AC + DC :
