4.3. Fitting the emergency card

This card is fitted to the blank of the
modules on the wire-passage side for the
single module and on the outside for the
dual modules. It is attached by 4 screws
in the Type A or Type B rails (see previous
page). It is important to fit this card as
early as possible because the red and black
wires are fitted in pairs in the secondary
terminal strip. The fitting is completed by
positioning the 3 point connector which
controls the 24V backup switching.
If a +/- reversal should occur during the
connection to the backup, the automobile-
type 20 A fuse blows immediately to protect
the card.

Module/terminal strips connections

(single / dual )
4.4.1. Earths
The earth connections on the
modules must be made using an
appropriate method: spring washer
on one side and lock washer on the
other.
As each module can be fitted
identical in a single or dual cabinet,
all of the green/yellow wires are not
necessarily used.
4.4.2. Primary wires
These are fitted into the primary
terminal strip in accordance with the
colour code:
Brown =phase (fused), blue =
neutral, green/yellow = earth
The cylindrical ferrite will be slipped
over the brown and yellow wires in
front of the terminal strip. Take care
not to damage the insulation of the
wires when sliding it.
A collar holds these wires together
on leaving the terminal strip in order
to prevent any
detachment.
4.4.3. Secondary wires
These will be connected at the end
of the secondary terminal strip. If
the inclined plane of the cabinet
interferes with the position of the
clip-on ferrite, the latter will be
placed on the lighting outlet side.
4.4.4. Control wires
The self-adhesive
diagram supplied with each module
will be used (this diagram must be
positioned so that it is easily visible
during any intervention).
Once attached, the wires will be
slipped into one of the fins of the
profile.
