Identification of the modules

The identification labels located at
the primary wires end make it pos-
sible to identify the modules for
traceability purposes.
Reminder: Index A modules can only
withstand 150 W and can therefore
only be fitted with PRX4000’s or
AX4’s
4.2. Mechanical fitting of the module
The power module consists of an
aluminium profile allowing multiple
attachments, In the WPS cases, 4
attachment lugs are to be slipped
into the profile, but other fittings can
be envisaged where the cooling of
the module remains ensured.
The rails on the periphery of the pro-
file are of two distinct types: A and
B.
- Type A: a form of tapping is
extruded to receive the M4 (Europe)
but in which it is also possible to fit
an 8x8 square nut.
- Type B: a clearance is formed to
allow the passage of Europe or US
screws, 8x8 square nuts or US hexa-
gonal nuts.
In all cases, the fixing lugs can also
be used.
It is then necessary to fit the various
connectors on the module taking
care to position them close to the
wires coming from the ends:
- 3 point terminal strip with fuse at
the primary end
- 5 point terminal strip at the
secondary end.
- 7 point terminal strip in the middle
For this purpose, the terminal strips
will be pre-assembled with their
screws etc. and then slipped into
the rails of the module.
A space will be left between each
terminal strip for the connection of
the earths (about 1 cm).

Where dual WPS cabinets are used,
an 8 point terminal strip must also
be fitted on the side of one of the
modules to allow a centralised dis-
tribution of the connections.
This terminal strip is mounted on a
bracket which is provided for Type
A fitting.
