5 . 1 . Mounting on the plate

The pre-assembled modules are
mounted on the plate and fixed to
their four studs.
Make sure that they are tightened
sufficiently for the back of the
module to be in contact with the
plate (cooling), but not too much
to avoid stripping the studs.
They can then be connected to their
wire terminations.
The potentiometers will then be fitted
in a detachable manner (to the
cabinet or on the transfer) so that
the maximum voltage (Vmax) can
be adjusted at the terminals of the
lamps before closing the cover.
5 . 2 . Adjustment of Vmax
This voltage must be read directly on
an RMS AC+DC voltmeter or on a
standard voltmeter with a conversion
table (see chapter 2.1).
In the case of transfers, in order to avoid
repeated journeys it will be sufficient,
as a first approximation, to read the
voltage at the lamps, to note the
difference with respect to 23
VDC) and to modify the voltage at the
output of the module by this same amount
of difference.
For the adjustment, a miniature flat
screwdriver will be used and it will be
necessary to wait a few seconds after
each adjustment for the voltage to
stabilise (1 turn = about 0.4
At the same time, it will be checked
that the voltage at the output of the
module does not exceed 28
(24.8 VDC).
5 . 3 . Finishing
The potentiometer is supplied with
2 sets of lock washers and nuts
allowing fitting to simply drilled
surfaces (specific to the client). In
the case of cabinets of WPS transfer
only one set is necessary. The
rotation of the potentiometer is
stopped by means of a positioning
pin.
The diode is fitted through a single
hole using a plastic sleeve provided.
The tags of the two-colour diode are
fragile, check that there is sufficient
spacing between them after fitting.
