The straps are tailor-made, depending on the imperatives of each use.
The selected strap has to have a sufficient length and strength in order to lift the load
The straps which are applying to the EN 1492 standard are used within the following
temperatures: -40°C to +80°C for polypropylene and -40°C to +100°C for polyester and
polyamide. In this case you have to ask the supplier or manufacturer. The polyurethane
coated straps can be used with a maximum temperature of +70°C
Consult us if the straps are to be used in contact with chemical products
Check before use if the straps are not damaged and that their identification is correct
Do not overload the straps
It is necessary that the straps are placed on the load, so that the latter is uniformly
distributed on their width
Never use knotted or tangled up straps
Position correctly the face of the strap in contact on the pulley. This one has to be
chosen according to the load to be turned.
Very important: never place the sewings on the hooks or other lifting device as well as
under the load. Always make sure that the sewing is placed in the (almost) vertical part
of the strap. Avoid the damage of the labels by watching that they are not in contact
with the load
Only use the straps for lifting and turning load with your load's turner.
Protect the straps from sharp edges and risks of friction or abrasion. An edge is
considered being "sharp" if the radius is less than the thickness of the strap. In this
case, use protections on the edges
The strap has to be fixed in a way that the load cannot slip during the lifting
Avoid any shock or hasted manipulation of the load
The connection systems of the opening straps are not allowed to pass in the pulleys of
the loads turner.
Never drag a load with a strap and never let a strap lying around on the floor
Never leaving the load on the strap when the loads turner is not being used anymore
Never walk under the load
Avoid that the strap is getting stuck and never try to pull in order to free the strap when
it is stuck.
Correctly store the straps, in good conditions, with the instructions for use. Keep the
material in a dry place, protected from bad weather and chemical products
Before each use, check the straps in order to detect any possible damage. Any
damaged strap has to be immediately withdrawn from use.
A chemical corrosion entails a local weakening and softens the material. This
phenomenon appears by the flaking of the superficial fibers which it is then possible to
tear away or to remove by friction.
Any strap that has been in contact with acids or alkalis must be rinsed out with water. If
necessary, contact the manufacturer in order to know the appropriate cleaning process
Do not apply degreasing products on the straps' polyurethane (deterioration risks).
When needed, use white vinegar to degrease the straps
The straps cannot be used when there is oil or water on the polyurethane. If so, the
straps have to be dried in the open air, with no contact to heating sources
Only the manufacturer or a third party, indicated by the manufacturer is authorized to
make repairs. Only straps which can be identified by their label can be repaired.
Users have to regularly check for the correct condition of straps: the textile strap must
not be damaged; the straps seams must be in good condition, the polyurethane
