SIDE BRUSH HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

NOTE
Brushes with harder or softer bristles are
available. This procedure is applicable to all
types of brushes.
1.
Check the side brush correct height from the ground,
proceeding as follows:
– Drive the machine on a level ground.
– Keep the machine stationary, lower the side brush
completely, and rotate it for a few seconds.
– Check that when the side brush is lowered, the
slot (4, Fig. I) in the plunger on the hydraulic jack
is clear in the upper area (as shown in the figure)
so that, if the ground is uneven, the side brush is
able to rise freely.
– Stop and lift the side brush, then move the
machine.
– Check that the side brush print is, in extension and
orientation, as shown in figure (1, Fig. H).
If the print differs, adjust, adjust its mechanical limit
stop as described below.

Activate the parking brake using the pedal and the
lever (9 and 10, Fig. B).
3.
Turn the ignition switch (5, Fig. B) to OFF position.
4.
Slacken the locknut (1, Fig. I) and adjust the limit stop
(2) using the handle (3).
When the adjustment is completed, tighten the
locknut (1).
5.
When the brush is too worn and can no longer be
adjusted, replace it according to the instructions in the
following paragraph.

SIDE BRUSH REPLACEMENT

NOTE
Brushes with harder or softer bristles are
available. This procedure is applicable to all
types of brushes.
CAUTION!
It is advisable to use protective gloves
when replacing the main or side brushes
because there can be cutting debris
between the bristles.
1.
Drive the machine on a level ground and lift the waste
container to the position (1, Fig. T).
WARNING!
Under these conditions, no one must move
under the waste container (1, Fig. T)
2.
Activate the parking brake using the pedal and the
lever (9 and 10, Fig. B).
3.
Turn the ignition switch (5, Fig. B) to OFF position.
4.
Unscrew the bolt (1, Fig. J) and remove the brush
with its flange (2).
Make sure the key (3) does not fall out of the drive
shaft.
5.
Unscrew the nuts (4, Fig. J) and separate the brush
(5) from the flange (6).
6.
Fit the new brush on the machine, carrying out steps
4 and 5 in the reverse order.
7.
Lower the waste container (1, Fig. T) completely.
8.
Carry out the side brush height adjustment as
described in the previous paragraph.
