FEATURES OF YOUR LETTER OPENER

3.1

Control Panel

A- Cut/No-Cut Switch (Optional) – Allows operator to
turn opening function of Letter Opener on or off
B- Main Power Switch – Depressing to the ON "|"
position and toggling the Reset Switch will activate
machine.
C- Reset Switch – Must be toggled whenever machine
is restarted.
D- Variable Speed Dial (Optional) – Variable speed is useful for slowing down the
envelopes passing through the milling cutter. The dial on top of the machine controls the
speed, allowing for a range of speeds from 40 to 100 percent of full speed. This is a
helpful option for those users opening a range of envelope sizes at the same time.

Letter-Sized Envelopes

To ensure your envelopes contents are not
damaged, and to prevent jamming, it is
recommended that you prepare the envelopes
before opening as shown. Stack Envelopes with
all flaps facedown and pointing away from the
operator. Fan the stack so that the leading edge
of the bottom envelope is protruding from the
stack, as seen in the following figures.
Loosening the thumbscrews on the end of the
machine and sliding the left end up aides in
stacking of envelopes for consistent feed. Once
desired height is reached simply tighten
thumbscrews and begin opening.
