Use
● Soak the wiper in "klar-pilot" anti-mist fluid
in its dry state.
● Ready position of the full face
mask: Loosen the harness as far as
possible. Guide the carrying strap
around the neck and fasten it to the
upper head-harness connector.
● Don the closed-circuit breathing

apparatus and press the plug-in
coupling into the mask connector until
it clicks into place.
● Donning the full face mask: Beards and sideburns in the sealing
area of the full face mask will cause leakages! Therefore the full
face mask should not be used by anyone with facial hair of this
sort. Earpieces in the sealing area also cause leakages. Use
special mask spectacles. Remove the carrying strap. Place your
chin in the chin cup.
● Guide the harness over your head and
pull it back until the front strap fits
smoothly. Adjust the full face mask.
1 Tighten the neck straps evenly.
2 Tighten the temple straps evenly.
3 Persons with smaller head shapes
must also tighten the front strap.

● Checking for leaks: Press both breathing hoses together tightly
and inhale until a negative pressure is created. Hold your breath

. Do not use the wiper
for a moment. The negative pressure should remain. Otherwise,
adjust the straps. Repeat the leak test twice. Make sure that the
full face mask is perfectly tight!
● Wiper: If the visor fogs up, swipe the wiper across the outside of
the visor with the lever. Bring the wiper back to its vertical position
in the centre of the visor afterwards.
● Voice transmission/receiver set: The position of the receiver
must match the position of the ear. Connect the voice
transmission/receiver set to the communication lines with the
plug/jack and check the voice and audio functions.
Extreme operating conditions
Low temperatures: Protect the inside of the visor against fogging
with "klar-pilot" gel.
High temperatures: Exit the danger zone immediately if the visor
becomes damaged in any way.
Chemicals: Chemicals such as H
by the material of the full face mask or may even diffuse through it.

In explosion hazard areas: Treat the full face mask with an
antistatic spray or use a water spray.

After use

● Detach the closed-circuit breathing apparatus: Press the
button and at the same time pull the plug-in coupling out of the
mask connector.
● Remove the full face mask: Put your
index fingers behind the flaps of the
neck straps, push the adjusting
clamps forward with your thumbs and
pull the full face mask away from your
face and over your head at the same
time.
