Glossary

– Ergonomics: The pursuit of the optimal interaction of human and
machine / object promoting performance, efficiency and comfort.
– Saddle height: The height of the saddle in relation to the ground / pedal /
bottom bracket axle depending on method used.
– Heal Method: A method used to determine saddle height.
– Power transfer: The transfer of power from the rider to the
bicycle via the pedals.
– Inside Leg Measurement: The measurement of the leg from the
groin to the ground.
– Fore / Aft Adjustment: The distance of the saddle nose behind the
vertical line created by the bottom bracket axle.
– Knee Cap Method: A method used to determine the fore / aft
adjustment of the saddle.
– Saddle Angle: Refers to the angle from horizontal of the saddle.
