Operating principle
P
The INFRAcontrol motion sensors are passive-infrared mo-
tion sensor.
The sensors of the INFRAcontrol motion sensor can detect
and evaluate invisible heat rays of moving bodies (humans,
animals, etc.), and convert them electronically switching

processes.
However, heat rays cannot penetrate obstacles, such as
walls, glass panes, etc.
This must be taken into consideration when selecting a
suitable installation location. If possible, the motion sensor
should be installed so that it is protected against rain, wind,
and direct sunlight in order to prevent unwanted switching
processes.
Installation instructions
In order to prevent faulty activation, the installation loca-
tion should be located at least 1 m from a light.
Movements (e.g. vibration) of the device have the same
effects as movements in the detection range (e.g. trees,
shrubs) and can trigger faulty activation.
