3.2 Charging the battery on the charging base

8. Remove the battery casing cover (Figure 4, C). Remove the battery from the
casing (Figure 4, A), if one is present, and insert the charged battery (Figure 4,
B) instead, making sure that the
(terminal uppermost). Put the cover (Figure 4, C) back on.
1. Switch the clippers off by
pressing the On/Off button
(Figure 1, D).
2. Insert the battery to be charged
(Figure 3, A) in the charging
base (Figure 3, C), making sure
the terminal is placed the
right way round.
3. Insert the power pack connector
(Figure 3, E) in the socket
(Figure 3, D) on the charging
base.
4. Insert the power pack (Figure 1,
M) in the mains power socket.
5. The red indicator light (Figure
3, B) on the charging base
comes on steadily during the
charging cycle.
6. The charging cycle is switched
off automatically. The indicator
light (Figure 3, B) goes out on
completion of the charging
cycle. The battery autonomy
period is then 90 minutes for a
new battery.
7. Unplug the power pack from the
mains supply and remove the
battery.
