– When the reading is below the A1 limits:
press the [OK] key to acknowledge the alarms.
The instrument is back in measurement mode and rea-
dy for use.
I f the instrument does display the applied gas concen-
tration within the mentioned tolerance range:
calibration by trained personell is required.
Carrying out the fresh air calibra-
tion
Calibrate the instrument to fresh air, free of the presence
of measured gases or other interfering gases. During the
fresh air calibration the zero point of all sensors (with the
exception of DrägerSensor XXS O
) is set to 0. The dis-
2
play of DrägerSensor XXS O
is set to 20.9 vol.%.

Switch on the instrument.
Press the [ + ] key three times, the symbol for fresh air
calibration »
« appears. If the symbol is not display-
ed, press the [ + ] key again until the symbol appears.
– The current gas concentration values flash.
Press the [OK] key in order to start the fresh air calibra-
tion.
When the calibration is complete:
– The current gas concentration display changes to the
display » OK «.
Press the [OK] key in order to acknowledge the calibra-
tion.
If an error has occurred during the fresh air calibration.
– The error message »
« appears and »
displayed for the sensor concerned instead of the mea-
sured value. In this case, repeat the fresh air calibration.
If necessary, the sensor should be replaced by qualified
personnel.
