This machine conforms to current
safety requirements. Incorrect use can
lead to injury and damage to the ma-
chine. Read the operating instructions
carefully before starting to use this ma-
chine. This way you will avoid the risk of
accidents, and damage to the machine.
Keep these instructions in a safe place,
and make them available to future us-
ers.

The Aqua-Soft-System is only suit-
able for the applications mentioned in
the operating instructions. Using it for
purposes other than those for which it
was designed would be unauthorised
and could cause harm.

Only connect Miele machines for the
appropriate application to the
Aqua-Soft-System. The Miele Company
will give advice on the relevant model.

The machine should be commis-
sioned and then maintained only by a
Miele authorised and trained service
technician or other suitably qualified
and competent approved person.

Do not install this equipment in con-
junction with an electrical machine in
areas where there is a risk of explosion.
~
Repairs should only be carried out
by a suitably qualified and trained tech-
nician in accordance with local and na-
tional safety regulations. Repairs and
other work by unqualified persons
could be dangerous. The manufacturer
cannot be held responsible for un-
authorised work.

Children and untrained personnel
should not be allowed access to the
machine or its controls.

Water in the machine is not suitable
for drinking.
~
Never clean the machine or near vi-
cinity with a water hose or a high pres-
sure cleaner.
~
To ensure safety, national and local
Water Authority Regulations (NWC in
the UK/DIN EN 1717 in Germany) must
be complied with when installing this
equipment. When connection to the wa-
ter supply is made, an approved back-
flow prevention device (Type C) must
be incorporated between the mains wa-
ter supply and the water softener car-
tridge. The upper edge of the device
must be at least 250 mm above the up-
per edge of the Aqua-Soft-System.
Waste water must be discharged in ac-
cordance with national and
local water regulations.

Before disposing of an old Aqua-
Soft-System contact the Miele Cus-
tomer Service Department for advice on
safe disposal.
The manufacturer cannot accept re-
sponsibility for damage resulting
from improper use or operation.
