INTRODUCTION

The Dewcheck dewpointmeter has been developed especially for checking climatic conditions in
the surface treatment industry.
The risk of condensation on surfaces to be treated is always present and is difficult to spot
without suitable instruments.
In particular on blasted surface light condensation is difficult to spot without suitable instruments.
Furthermore the phenomena of condensation depends on three very changeable climatic factors.
Air temperature, relative humidity (and the dewpoint calculated with those) and surface temperature
should be measured at regular intervals.
Not only is it important to take measurements frequently but these should be taken at different
spots of the surface. Factors like sun- shadow side, shape and mass of the object to be painted
can create unexpected thermal behaviour of the surface.
In order to document the climatic conditions during a coating job the Dewcheck is equipped with
an internal memory that is able to store up to 99 datasets. Data can evaluated right on the
screen of the gauge or printed directly to the (optional) Ir-printer or exported to a PC using the
(optional) communication set.
