WARNING! Danger due to elec-
tromagnetic field generated while the
machine is in operation. Under certain
circumstances, this field may negatively af-
fect active or passive medical implants. In
order to reduce the danger of serious or fa-
tal injuries, we recommend that individuals
who wear medical implants should consult
their doctor and the manufacturer of the
implant before operating the machine.

Preparation

WARNING! Risk of injury due to un-
intentional start-up. Do not insert the plug
into the socket until the machine is fully
prepared for use.

Transport

Information on transport
• Never use separating guards for lifting
or transporting.
• When transporting the power tool, the
saw blade guard must be in the lowest
position near the table.
• Carry the machine with the base (18) in
one hand and the frame (11) in the other.

Assembly

The machine is not ready for operation on
delivery. The following steps must be taken
before using the machine for the first time:
• Assemble the saw table
• Adjust the position of the band saw blade

• Allen key AF 4 (22)
Assembling the saw table
WARNING!Cutting injuries! Wear
cut-resistant gloves when working with
the saw blade.

1. Remove the handle screw (14), the
locking handle (16) and the clamping
plate (12) of the tilt adjustment.
2. Remove one screw of the reinforcer
(29) on the underside of the saw ta-
ble. Turn the reinforcer so that the slot
in the saw table is free.
3. Insert the saw table (6) from back to
front. Guide the band saw blade (27)
through the slot.
4. Fasten the saw table with the clamping
plate, the handle screw and the lock-
ing handle. The recess of the clamping
plate runs in the guide on the under-
side of the saw table.
5. Fix the reinforcer in its original position.
The machine is now assembled.
Controls and how they
function
Before working with the machine or mak-
ing adjustments, familiarise yourself with
all the controls and how they function. It is
possible you may need to operate these
controls in situations when you are not
expecting it.
Raising and lowering the saw
blade guard
CAUTION! Danger of cuts and dam-
age! Always lower the saw blade guard
as closely as possible to the workpiece to
be sawn. This keeps the band saw blade
covered and helps with the guiding of the
blade.

CAUTION! Danger of cuts! Nev-
er move the saw blade guard (5) by
hand. Loosen the locking screw (8) of
the saw blade guard.
2. Raise or lower the saw blade guard by
turning the height adjustment (7). Direc-
tion of rotation as seen from behind:
