1. DESCRIPTION OF GENERAL MACHINES CHARACTERISTICS

1.1. Purpose of the manual

This manual contains all the necessary instructions to correctly and safety use the
pneumatics olive harvesters "Olivance PN", "Olivance PN S" and "Olivance PN T", also
referred to as the "machines", manufactured by Castellari S.r.l. in Imola (BO).
Before using the machines are important to read the instructions in this manual carefully
and ensure they are observed; proper observation of the given instructions, together
with proper maintenance, will ensure long-lasting performance of the machines.
NOTE: This manual is an integral part of the machines; should the machines be moved
or sold on the manual must be kept with it. Keep this manual in a secure place and
make sure all possible machines users know where to find it.

1.2. Machines identification

The machines have an ID plate showing the following data:
• Name and complete address of manufacturer;
• Name of product;
• PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) to be used;
• Information on dangers.
"CE" mark and year of construction.

1.3. Machines description and technical data

The Olivance PN, PN S and PN T pneumatics rakes have been designed to make olive
harvesting easier without in any way damaging the olive tree. The shape and movement
of the rakes teeth are such as to prevent any violent mechanical stress which might
damage the tree.
Entrapment between the teeth of the rakes causes the fruit to fall.
The rakes can be attached at the end of a pneumatic fixed or telescopic pole; this allows
the user to rakes treetops where harvesting is required.
