4. Charging the energy station with the
power supply unit
1. Set the ON/OFF switch (Figure 1 / Item 1) to
„CHA" position.
2. Plug the connecting cable of the supplied power
supply unit in the charging socket „CHARGE"
(Figure 1 / Item 7) on the unit.
3. Plug the power supply unit into a mains socket
outlet for 230 V( 50 Hz.
4. It takes around 24 hours to charge the energy
station.
5. The red LED (Figure 2 / Item 4) lights up in
charging mode and indicates that charging has
commenced. When charging is completed, i.e.
when the storage battery is fully charged, the
green LED (Figure 2 / Item 3) lights up as well.
6. Never use the supplied cigarette lighter cable to
charge the energy station.
5. Outputs
Output 12 V cigarette lighter socket. max 10 A.
¼
The 12 V output (Figure 1 / Item 2) can be loaded
with max. 10 A, i.e. you have max. 10 A at your
disposal.
¼
Check the power and power consumption values
of the consumer to ensure that you do not
overload the energy station. If you only know the
power data of the consumer you can calculate
the max. current very easily.
12 V / 18 Ah
3 V; 6 V; 9 V
12 V / 10 A via 1 cigarette
lighter socket
12 V / 600 A max. 5 sec.
230 V ~ 50 Hz
15 V
1000 mA
7.5 VA
12 V / 5 W
Example:
Consumer: 12 V / 50 W
The current consumption is 50 W / 12 V
= 4.17 A
¼
1 A
Use the supplied connecting cable to link the 12V
output socket with a suitable consumer
¼
Remove the caps to use the 12 V output and
connect the consumer.
¼
Then press the switch (Figure 1 / Item 1).
Output 3 V / 6 V / 9 V; max. 1 A
¼
All three outputs together can be loaded with
max. 1 A, i.e. you have max. 1 A at your
disposal.
¼
The stabilisation of the 3 V, 6V and 9 V outputs
may be insufficient for certain electronic
appliances (video cameras, laptops, etc.). Please
consult the appliance's operating manual before
you connect it up. Pay special attention to any
information it contains about special accessories
(e.g. adapters for connecting video cameras to
12 V cigarette lighter sockets in cars, etc.).
¼
These outputs are protected by a miniature fuse
located at the front of the energy station near the
ON/OFF switch. Replace a damaged fuse only
with one of identical amperage.
¼
Use a suitable connecting cable to link the 3 V -
6 V - 9 V output socket at the front of the energy
station to the unit requiring voltage.
Check that the voltage and current ratings of the
consumer units will not overload the energy
station.
Overloading may destroy the energy station.
6. To operate the lamp (12 V / 5 W)
Proceed as follows to switch on the lamp:
¼
Move the switch (Figure 1 / Item 1) to „ON"
position.
¼
The lamp is switched on and off using the switch
(Figure 1 / Item 5).
