INSTALLING PERSONAL BACK10 MOUNTING
HARDWARE
ADJUSTING THE CANE CLAMP SIZE
NOTE: For this procedure refer to FIGURE 1.3.
1. Check the diameter of the back canes.
2. Ensure the four (4) cane clamps are adjusted to the same diameter as the back canes.
Refer to FIGURE 1.3.
3. If necessary, adjust the cane clamps by performing the following:
A. Place cane clamp in open position.
B. Slide the outer clamp half to the 1-inch or 7/8-inch mounting position.
C. Repeat STEPS A-B on remaining cane clamps.

INSTALLING THE SIDE PLATES
NOTE: For this procedure refer to FIGURE 1.4.
NOTE: Depth of the Personal Back10 is adjusted by placing the cane clamps in one (1) of four
different mounting positions on the side plates. Refer to Adjusting The Personal Back10 Depth on
page 14 before installing the side plates.
NOTE: Both side plates must be set to the same height and depth.
NOTE: Both side plates must be parallel to each other.
NOTE: When using the Personal Back10 on a wheelchair with 1-inch back canes use the long
(1¾ inch) mounting bolts provided. When using the Personal Back10 on a wheelchair with 7/8-
inch back canes use the short (1½ inch) mounting bolts provided.
1. Align cane clamp mounting hole with the desired upper side plate mounting hole.
