ASSEMBLY

UNPACKING
This product requires assembly.
 Carefully remove the tool and any accessories from the
box. All items listed in the Includes section must be
included at the time of purchase.
WARNING:
Items in this Assembly section are not assembled
to the product by the manufacturer and require
customer installation. Use of a product that may
have been improperly assembled could result in
serious personal injury.
 If any parts are damaged or missing, please call
1-866-539-1710 for assistance.

ate this product until the parts are replaced. Use of
this product with damaged or missing parts could
result in serious personal injury.

OPERATION

WARNING:
Do not allow familiarity with this product to make
you careless. Remember that a careless fraction
of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury.
WARNING:
Always remove battery pack from the tool when
you are assembling parts, making adjustments,
cleaning, or when not in use. Removing battery
pack will prevent accidental starting that could
cause serious personal injury.
WARNING:
Always wear eye protection with side shields
marked to comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do
so could result in objects being thrown into your
eyes and other possible serious injuries.
WARNING:
Do not use any attachments or accessories not
recommended by the manufacturer of this product.
The use of attachments or accessories not recom-
mended can result in serious personal injury.
WARNING:
Do not attempt to modify this tool or create acces-
sories not recommended for use with this tool. Any
such alteration or modification is misuse and could
result in a hazardous condition leading to possible
serious personal injury.
INSTALLING THE AUXILIARY HANDLE
ASSEMBLY
See Figures 1 - 2, page 8.
 Assemble the auxiliary handle shaft and grip as shown.
Make sure the parts are tightened securely.
 Insert the auxiliary handle assembly into the desired
operating position on the drill head (right or left side) and
hand tighten securely.
NOTE: When removing, an adjustable wrench may be used
to loosen the auxilary handle from the power base if needed.
Make sure to place the gripping surface of the wrench on
the flats on the auxiliary handle as shown.
APPLICATIONS
You may use this product for the purposes listed below:
 Drilling in all types of wood products (lumber, plywood,
paneling, composition board, and hard board), ceramics,
plastics, fiberglass, laminates, and metals; driving screws
into wood and drywall with screwdriver bits.
INSTALLING/REMOVING THE DRILL HEAD
See Figure 3, page 9.
To install:
 Set the direction of rotation selector in the OFF (center
lock) position to lock the switch trigger, then remove the
battery pack.
 Align one of the arrows on the drill head with the arrow
on the power base. Push together, then twist the power
base until the latches click into position and the arrow on
the drill head is aligned with the lock icon on the power
base. Pull on the head to make sure it is securely installed
before operation.
NOTE: The head can be installed at 90° angles to best
suit your application needs.
 Reinstall the battery pack in the power base. The Ready
LED on the power base will flash green while the head is
evaluated, then turn solid green and emit a trilling tone
when the tool is ready to use.
NOTE: If any other LED appears or tone is heard, refer to
the power base operator's manual for further details.
