Making Coffee

PLEASE NOTE!
■ Do not pour milk or other liquids into the water tank. Only ever use drinking water to
make coffee!
■ Never exceed the max marking on the fi ll level indicator. If the water tank is overfi lled,
the jug could overfl ow.
■ Do not operate the device without water or with less water than is required to reach
the lowest mark on the fi ll level indicator.
■ Do not leave the device unattended during the brewing process!
1. Flip open the water tank lid (8).
2. Fill the jug (5) with drinking water and then pour this into the water tank (1) up to the
number of cups you want.
8. Increase the coffee strength if necessary by pressing the MODE button (10). You can
choose between three coffee strengths. The coffee strength is shown on the display
(3) on the basis of the number of
9. Press the ON / OFF button (12).
The brewing process is started. A red dot is lit up on the display. Once all the water
has run through from the water tank, the coffee can be served.
The hotplate will remain hot for around 35 minutes after the brewing process to keep
the coffee warm. It is then switched off automatically. Do not place an empty jug on
the hotplate when it is hot! It could be damaged.
To abort the brewing process, press the ON / OFF button twice until only the time
is shown on the display.
Drip Stop
The jug (5) can be removed from the coffee machine during the brewing process for 15 –
20 seconds to pour a cup of coffee. The drip stop on the coffee outlet (4) prevents the
coffee from dripping onto the hotplate (6) when the jug is not inserted.
However, the jug must be placed back on the hotplate within 15 – 20 seconds so
that the fi lter does not overfl ow.

3. Place the empty jug (with the lid closed) on the hotplate (6).
4. Insert the fi lter holder (2) into the coffee machine.
5. Insert a fi lter paper of size 4 into the fi lter holder.
6. Pour coffee powder into the fi lter paper. Do not overfi ll it!
7. Flip the water tank lid shut. It must engage audibly.
