Disconnect the device from the mains power when it is not going to be used for a
prolonged period. Clean the device again if necessary (see the "Cleaning and Care"
chapter) and let it dry completely.
Store the device and all accessories out of the reach of children and animals in a dry,
clean place that is protected from direct sunlight.

Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, fi rst check whether you are able to rectify the prob-
lem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps below, contact the customer
service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
Problem
Nothing is shown on
the display (3).
The fuse in the elec-
trical distributor (fuse
box) is triggered.
Water runs out of the
device.
The coffee runs very
slowly out of the coffee
outlet (4).

Possible cause
The mains plug is not
inserted correctly in the plug
socket.
The plug socket is defective.
There is no mains voltage.
The display is defective.
Too many devices connected
to the same circuit.
There is too much water in
the water tank (1).
The jug (5) is not positioned
correctly beneath the coffee
outlet (4).
The coffee outlet is blocked.
The device is furred up.
Fix
Plug the mains plug in prop-
erly.
Try another plug socket.
Check the fuse of the electri-
cal distributor (fuse box).
Contact the customer service
department.
Reduce the number of devic-
es in the circuit.
Do not overfi ll the water tank!
Position the jug with the lid
closed correctly on the hot-
plate (6).
Clean the coffee outlet.
Descale the device with a
standard descaling agent for
coffee machines.
