1. Make sure that the time is set correctly (see the "Setting the Time" chapter).
2. Keep pressing the PROG button (11) until TIMER is displayed above the time.
3. Use the HOUR button (14) and MIN button (13) to set the starting time. To run through
the numbers quickly, hold down the respective button.

The timer has been activated. The brewing process starts automatically at the set
time. The blue dot goes out and the red dot is lit. Once all the water has run through

Deactivating the timer:
To end the timer function, press the ON / OFF button until only the time is shown on the
display (3).

Cleaning and Care

PLEASE NOTE!
The device and fi lter holder are not suitable for being cleaned in a dishwasher.
The device must always be disconnected from the mains power before it is cleaned.
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents. These might damage the sur-
face.
Once all parts of the coffee machine have cooled down, take out the fi lter holder (2)
and dispose of the fi lter paper.
Rinse the fi lter holder and the jug (5) with warm water and a little detergent. The
jug can also be cleaned in the dishwasher. Dry them before inserting them into the
device.
Wipe down the housing and the hotplate (6) of the coffee machine with a clean, slight-
ly damp cloth. Use mild detergent if necessary. Never immerse the device in water!
Descaling
Limescale deposits have an adverse effect not only on the quality of the coffee, but they
also cause power losses and shorten the lifespan of the device. The thicker a limescale
layer is, the more diffi cult it is to remove.
We therefore recommend regularly removing limescale deposits with a standard descal-
ing agent for coffee machines in accordance with the water quality in your area and how
often the device is used (approx. every 2 – 6 weeks).
The fi rst indications that descaling is required are a large amount of steam being pro-
duced and slower brewing of the coffee.
