The selected coff ee strength is saved until a new coff ee strength is set or the
device has been disconnected from the power supply for more than a minute.
Making Coff ee
PLEASE NOTE!
■ Never use the device without water or with less water than is required to reach the
2-cup marking. The heating unit could be damaged.
■ Never use the device without the coff ee jug below the coff ee outlet.
1. Set up and connect the device (see the "Setting Up and Connecting the Device"
chapter).
2. Prepare the device to make the coff ee you want (see the "Preparing the Device"
chapter).
To make coff ee with coff ee powder, press the Mahlwerk Aus (grinder off )
button (22) before setting the number of cups and the coff ee strength you want
in order to switch off the coff ee mill. The control lamp next to the Mahlwerk Aus
(grinder off ) button lights up.
3. Place the coff ee jug (8) (with the lid closed) onto the storage plate (9).
4. Press the Start / Stopp (start / stop) button (20) to switch on the grinder if necessary
and start the brewing process. The operating lamp (19) lights up. The
appears on the display at the start of the brewing process.
If the brewing process is to be aborted prematurely, press the Start / Stopp (start
/ stop) button. The operating lamp goes out and the device is switched off .
