Time
As soon as the mains plug is plugged into a plug socket, the display lighting turns on and
the time display 12:00 fl ashes. The clock has a 24-hour time format.
1. Set the hours by pressing the Std (hrs) button (17).
2. Set the minutes by pressing the Min button (18).
The time is saved until a new time is set or the device has been disconnected
from the power supply for more than a minute.
Activating the Preset Time
To make coff ee with a preset time, the clock needs to be set (see "Time").
1. Prepare the coff ee machine to make the coff ee you want (see the "Preparing the
Device" chapter).
2. Keep the TIMER button (23) pressed down for approx. 3 seconds until the time dis-
play fl ashes.
3. Use the Std (hrs) (17) and Min (18) buttons to set the start time you want (see
"Time").
4. Press the Timer button again. The control lamp next to the button lights up constant-
ly. appears on the display (15). The preset time is activated.
Once the preset time is reached, the device switches on automatically. The display
shows the programmed settings and
Deactivating the Preset Time
To deactivate the preset time setting, press the Timer button (23). The control lamp goes
out and the programming is deactivated. However, the preset time is retained and can be
reactivated at any time until a new preset time is programmed in or the device has been
disconnected from the power supply for more than a minute.
Drip Stop
The device has a drip stop which prevents water from dripping out of the fi lter insert (12)
when the jug has been removed from the device.
When the device is in operation, the fi lter compartment (11) must be closed and the cof-
fee jug with a lid placed on it must be placed beneath the fi lter compartment. The lid of
the jug pushes the drip stop upwards and the coff ee can fl ow from the fi lter through the
lid into the jug.
During the brewing process, the jug must be removed from the device for no
longer than 30 seconds as otherwise the fi lter could overfl ow.
