User level

This function allows user rights to be enabled on various lev-
els.
The switch-on user level Con 8 is set by default. This means
that all the welding functions are available when the device
is switched on.
This switch-on user level can be changed, e.g. to Con 0 (theft
protection). This means that the device is blocked after switch-
on. The user must then log in with their personal user card.
Hold the user card on the NFC read surface A43 until the
code nFc appears in the left-hand 7-segment display A4
and the code oK appears in the right-hand 7-segment dis-
play.

User management

The function is shown using the example of Welding Supervi-
sor and WPS Basic users.
Welding Supervisor log-in:
Hold the Welding Supervisor NFC card (user level 8) against
the NFC read surface A43 for at least 3 sec.
9 The code nFc appears in the left-hand 7-segment display
A4. After approx. 3 sec., the code oK appears in the right-
hand 7-segment display as log-in confirmation.
Set the desired material/wire/gas combination, welding
process, main and secondary parameters. (These setting
values are applied for the WPS Basic user)
WPS Basic user log-in:
Hold the WPS Basic NFC card (user level 2) against the NFC
read surface A43 for at least 3 sec.
9 The code nFc appears in the left-hand 7-segment display
A4. After approx. 3 sec., the code oK appears in the right-
hand 7-segment display as log-in confirmation.
‰ The values set by the welding supervisor (material/wire/
gas combination, welding process and secondary param-
eters) cannot be changed. The arc dynamics can only be
changed by 30 % and the main parameters by 10 %.
Should these restrictions still exist for the WPS
i i
Basic user after switching the device off and on,
then the switch-on Con user level must be set
to 2
