Troubleshooting

Occasionally a problem may arise that is minor in nature, and a service call may not be neccessary. Use this
troubleshooting guide for a possible solution. If the unit continues to operate improperly, call an authorized service depot
or Danby's Toll Free Number 1-800-263-2629 for assistance.
PROBLEM
Unit does not start
when pressing on/off
button
Not cool enough
Noisy or vibration
Gurgling sound
Power shut off at
Heating mode
Compressor does not
work and the digital
display area shows P1.
The cooling indicator
light flashes at 1Hz and
the digital display area
shows E1.
The FAN indicator light
flashes at 1Hz and the
digital display area
shows E2.
The Dehumidifying
indicator light flashes at
1Hz and the digital
display area shows E3.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
• Water tank is full
• Room temperature is lower than the
set temperature. (Cooling mode)
• The windows or doors in the room
are not closed.
• There are heat sources inside the
room.
• Exhaust air duct is not connected or
blocked.
• Temperature setting is too high.
• Air filter is blocked by dust.
• The ground is not level or not flat
enough.
• The sound comes from the flowing of
the refrigerant inside the air
conditioner
• The automatic over heat protection
function. When the temperature at
the air outlet exceeds 70°C/158°F,
the device wi ll stop.
• The bottom tray is full
• The room temperature Sensor is off
or short-circuit.
• The Evaporator Temperature Sensor
is off or short-circuit.
• The Condenser Temperature Sensor
is off or short-circuit.

SOLUTION
• Dump the water out.
• Reset the temperature.
• Make sure all the windows and doors
are closed.
• Remove the heat sources if possible.
• Connect the duct and make sure it
can function properly.
• Decrease the set temperature.
• Clean the air filter.
• Place the unit on a flat, level ground
if possible.
• It is normal
• Switch on again after the unit has
cooled down.
• Rremove the bottom plug and drain
the collected water away. If it does
not work after restart, contact the
service depot.
