Maximum useful life (commercial/non-commer-
cial use)
Providing proper use and no detectable signs of wear
showing as well as under optimum storage condi-
tions: 10 years
Frequent or extreme use
Frequent use or extremely high loading may substan-
cially reduce the useful life. Remove the product
from service immediately if any of the following ap-
plies
- if webbing edges are damaged or individual fibres
have been pulled from the webbing
- if visible signs of damage or abrasion show on
seems
- if melting burns, decolouration or strong furryness
of the webbing have occurred
- if the material has come in contact with chemicals
or has been subjected to a hard fall load (fall factor
>1)
- if webbing or slings have an integrated wear indica-
tor, the product must be replaced immediately if
wear has exposed the indicator (internal fabric of
different colour has become visible), continued use
may cause fatal accidents.
Repairs may only be performed as outlined in the
instructions of the manufacturer.
Inspection
In case of commercial use, the product must be in-
spected regularly or at least once a year by the man-
ufacturer, a qualified person or an approved inspec-
tion body/agency; thereafter it may have to be ser-
viced or removed from use.
