Indications for Use
The Lifting Tray (IN-PIC-34) is an accessory for the XL Transport Container (IN-PIC-20/
IN-PIC-20-D). The Lifting Tray protects and organizes instruments and materials during
transportation. The Lifting Tray can be used in an automated washer and can withstand
repeated washing. DO NOT autoclave.
The Lifting Tray is designed to hold 1 da Vinci Xi® or 1 da Vinci SP® endoscope OR
up to 8 da Vinci Xi or SP EndoWrist® instruments and associated accessories.
Material
The Lifting Tray is reusable and made of highly durable material.
Description
The Lifting Tray consists of a removable tray and basket that is meant to hold accessories
and separate them from delicate instruments and/or scopes.
Lifting Tray Use
1. Set XL Transport Container on flat surface
2. Nest Lifting Tray in bottom of XL Transport Container
3. Place instruments or scope in Lifting Tray
A. FOR SINGLE ENDOSCOPE CONFIGURATION
Place da Vinci Xi endoscope control head diagonally, OR place da Vinci SP
endoscope control head horizontally on the corresponding section of the Lifting
Tray and wrap cord loosely in a clockwise direction.
B. FOR MULTIPLE INSTRUMENT CONFIGURATION
Place da Vinci EndoWrist instruments horizontally in the Lifting Tray alternating
the direction of the control head each time. Note: First control head should be
placed in the top left corner before alternating instruments.
4. Nest removable basket on center of Lifting Tray and load accessories into basket
5. Place lid on XL Transport Container and engage 4 silicone latches
6. Transport the XL Transport Container and its contents
7. Disengage XL Transport Container latches and open lid
8. Remove Lifting Tray and its contents
9. Process instruments/materials per the instruments/materials IFU
Warnings
1. Use handles to remove Lifting Tray from XL Transport Container
2. DO NOT Autoclave
3. Avoid dropping as this may cause damage to the instruments/materials inside and/
or Lifting Tray
4. Clean and inspect prior to first use and after each use
5. Lifting Tray may be reused until mechanical failure occurs
Examples of mechanical failure include:
Broken or cracked corners
Disclaimer: Lifting Tray is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for 1 year
Manual Cleaning
1. Use a neutral (6.0 – 8.5) pH detergent
2. Remove all visible soil and contaminates using a soft brush
3. Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove detergent
4. Dry completely before storage
Automated Washer Cleaning
1. Lifting Tray is safe for use in automated washers and can withstand up to 250°F (121°C)
