5. Nylon Cutting Line
Check the length of the nylon cutting line by
pulling the line to the inner edge of the guard.
If the line is very short, i.e. more than 2'' (50
mm) away from the edge of the guard, push
down on the centre of the cutting head and at
the same time, pull the line outward (see Fig.
10). When the trimmer starts, the line will be
cut to the correct length automatically.
6. "Bump Feed" the Trimmer Line
When you need to increase the line length
during use, you can simply "bump feed" the
trimmer line to restore the line to the correct
length. Simply turn on the trimmer and gently
bump the top surface of the cutting head on
a firm surface. The line will be automatically
extended and be cut to the correct length.

7. Replacing the Cutting Line
Always unplug the trimmer from the power
source before carrying out any maintenance.
Note: Always use replacement nylon trimmer
line with a diameter of 0.065" (1.65mm). Do not
use lines made of metal or any other material.
a) To replace the nylon line, first remove the
spool cover from the spool holder by pressing
the two spool cover opening buttons on the
side of the cutter head. Remove the spool
cover and remove the spool (see Fig. 12 and
13).
