• Only cleaning agents and utensils specifi ed in this
manual should be used for cleaning the appliance.

Danger of damage to the unit

Incorrect handling of the appliance can cause
damage:
• Always place the unit on a dry, level, non-slip and
heat-resistant surface.
• Before the appliance is stored away, remove the
plug from the socket and allow the unit to cool
down completely.
• To prevent the appliance from overheating,
ensure that the ventilation slots are not obstructed
in any way.

In case of a defective appliance

A defective appliance can cause material damage
and injury:
• WARNING: Do not use the cooking appliance,
if the door or its seals show any sign of damage,
but have it repaired by qualifi ed personnel.
• Check the device for damage prior to every
use. In the event that you detect damage due to
transport, immediately contact the dealer where
you have purchased the device.
• Never operate a defective device. Never operate
a device that has fallen down.
• If the power cord of the unit shows any
sign of damage, it must be replaced by the
manufacturers or by Customer Service, or
similarly qualifi ed personnel to avoid any danger.
• Any maintenance or repair work requiring the
removal of any microwave radiation protection
cover represents a serious hazard to unqualifi ed
persons. The unit must not be opened, except by
qualifi ed personnel.
• The unit does not contain any components that
can be serviced or repaired at home. Repairs
must only carried out by SEVERIN Service (see
►'Customer Service Centres', page 212).
