Caution
- If the wall socket used to power the device has poor connections, the plug of the device becomes
hot. Make sure you plug the device into a properly connected wall socket.
- Do not subject the device to heavy shocks.
- Always unplug the device after use and in case of a power failure.
- Place the device on a stable, level surface (Fig. 2). Keep at least 25 cm of free space around the
device to prevent overheating (Fig. 3).
- Make sure the vents in the back of the device remain open during use.
- Do not cover the device with, for example, a cloth or a piece of clothing when it is switched on.
- The device is equipped with an automatic protection against overheating. If the device is
insufficiently cooled, the device switches off automatically. Remove the cause of overheating. Once
the device has cooled down, it can be switched on again by turning the timer knob.
- Let the device cool down for approx. 15 minutes before you touch, clean or store it.
- If you have just been swimming or have just taken a shower, make sure you dry your skin properly
before you use this device.
- Never use the device when the glass plate (filter) is damaged, broken or missing.

EMC / EMF information

- This Philips device complies with all applicable standards and regulations regarding exposure to
electromagnetic fields.
- Use of the InfraCare device adjacent to or stacked with other equipment should be avoided
because it could result in improper operation. If such use is necessary, the InfraCare device and the
other equipment should be observed to verify that they are operating normally.
- Portable RF communications equipment (including peripherals such as antenna cables and
external antennas) should be used no closer than 30 cm (12 inches) to any part of the InfraCare
device, including cables specified by the manufacturer. Otherwise, degradation of the performance
of this equipment could result.
Environment
The Philips InfraCare infrared lamp is suitable for use in all establishments, including domestic
establishments and those directly connected to the public low voltage power supply network that
supplies buildings used for domestic purposes.
Test levels
This device is compliant to 60601-1-2 Ed. 4 RF emissions Group 1 class B. RF emissions are very low
and are not likely to cause interference in nearby electronic equipment.
