Repair procedure
A. The electrodes have an incorrect gap.
1. Disconnect the heater from the power plug.
2. Remove the screw fastening the burner to the combustion chamber.
3. Remove the burner from its seat.
4. Remove the sleeve of the burner.
5. Take the electrode-flame disc unit from the nozzle holder hose.
6.
Restore the original gap between the electrodes that must be 0.11-0.15 in, following
procedure B on the following page.
B. Broken electrodes.
1. Follow the same procedure for the defective transformer and repeat the steps to determine whether the
electrodes are defective or not. If the spark is present in any other spot, other than the ends of the
electrodes, it means that the porcelain has broken. They must therefore be replaced.
C. Defective or not properly earthed transformer.
1. Disconnect the heater from the power plug.
2. Loosen the screw fastening the burner to the combustion chamber.
3. Remove the burner from its seat.
4. Remove the sleeve from the burner.
5. Take the electrode-flame disc unit from the nozzle holder hose.
6. Remove the electrodes from the electrode-flame disc unit.
7. Make sure that the gap between electrodes is conforming to specifications (see previous point).
8. Check that the transformer is properly earthed. Check if there are any anomalies on the primary
connection such as faston connectors that are not properly connected, corroded or broken parts.
9. Check if there are any anomalies on the secondary connection such as broken cables, faston
connectors that are not properly connected, corroded or broken parts.
10. Connect the secondary output of the transformer to the electrodes.
11. Establish an earthing connection between the electrodes and the burner. To do this, connect am earth
wire to the burner on one side and on the other side connect it to one of the electrodes (Fig. 25). Use
insulated pliers and grasp the electrodes on the porcelain part. Only use pliers with rubber or plastic
insulated handles.

ATTENTION!!!
Before completing this procedure, detach
the electrical contacts from the solenoid
valve. This operation will protect you
against injury resulting from accidental
fuel ignition.
ATTENTION!!!
After connecting the heater to the power
socket, do not touch the spark plug
electrodes. High voltage is present. This
may result in electrical shocks.
