USE AND INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS
To save gas and for improved appliance performance, we recommend leaving the thermostat in position corresponding
(fig. 15) (approx. 60°C). As well as such temperature and in the presence of particularly hard waters (waters with
excessive lime scale percentage), limestone deposits inside the water heater, are reduce.
• Ensure the plant hot water cocks are perfectly sealed in
that any dripping means gas consumption and increase of
the water temperature, with consequent forming of steam.
• It is essential to empty the appliance if the same has to
remain unused in premises subject to frost.
• The water heater is equipped with a magnesium anode
mounted in boiler. The duration of the anode is
proportional to the average temperature, the chemical
composition of the water and the amount of withdrawals.
The anode mounted in factory is envisioned for an
efficiency of approx. five years, in average working
conditions. It is, however, preferable to check the anode
every 18-24 months, bearing in mind that it must have
a sufficiently even surface. When the diameter falls below
10-12 mm, we recommend replacing it with an original
anode.
NB: The anode is mounted underneath the white boss,
located in the upper part of the appliance.
For correct maintenance (to be carried out regularly at
least once a year), we recommend:
• checking the seal of the gas part with eventual
replacement of the gaskets
• visually checking the general status of the appliance
and of the combustion
• checking the combustion chamber and, eventually, clean
the burner, the nozzles and the thermocouple.
• verifying the correct gas flow
• verifying the functioning of the water safety systems (tem-
perature and pressure limit, hydraulic valve)
• verifying the functioning of the gas safety systems (gas
valve, no gas or flame, etc...)
• verifying the state of the fumes deflector
• verifying the ventilation features of the premises and
evacuation of the combustion products.
• cleaning the fumes duct.

SAFETY DEVICE

The appliance is equipped with a device act at avoiding that the
water temperature exceeds a maximum value set in factory.
Such safety acts so as to create an interruption to the gas
flow, meaning by completely switching off the appliance. The

FOR THE INSTALLER AND THE USER
Prior to this, it is necessary to remove the gas unit and the
fumes deflector. After such operation, verify the seal of
the gas circuit and the calibration of the entire unit.
NB: The internal body of the water heater must not,
during such operation, suffer blows that might damage
the internal protective covering.
Decalcification: this operation is recommended in areas with
very hard waters and when required (less amount of hot
water supplied by the appliance). We recommend using a
10-20% solution of hydrogen chloride and phosphoric acid
and, however, using special products for decalcification of
galvanised steel boilers; we also recommend complying
with the use instructions attached to the same products.
Proceed as follows:
• disconnect the appliance from the mains and drain it
using the drain cock (fig. 2);
• fill the storage with a water and acid solution, in compliance
with the use instructions of the same;
• leave the solution to act and, possibly with a pump,
recirculate the water through the hot water outlet pipe
and drain cock;
• drain the storage and carry out a prolonged passivation
washing by making the mains water circulate.
Attention to the water quality!
To assure maximum duration of your appliance, respect
certain rules:
LIMESTONE WATER: envision an efficient anti-limescale
device, with polyphosphate crystals base.
SOFT WATER: it must have a TH between 12° and 15°
and a PH above 7.
re-ignition must be carried out as described in paragraph
"IGNITION", after having eliminated the causes that
determined the switching off.
Any replacements must be carried out only by qualified
staff, using only original spare parts.
