4 - CONNECTION TO FLUE
4.1 It is essential that the fuel gases are drained outside
by means of a tube of suitable diameter to the L int
diameter (overall dimensions table fig. 1) inserted on
the appliance hood.
4.2 It is important that the flue has a good draft.
4.3 Avoid long horizontal passages, inclined plane and
throttling inside the evacuation duct as they can cau-
se bad combustion.
4.4 Should the drain pipe cross cold premises, unheated,
envision a thermal insulation to avoid the forming of
condense.
4.5 In no case must the fumes hood be eliminated,
amended or replaced as it is integral part of the entire
combustion system of the gas water heater.
4.6 The correct installation of the fumes discharge pipe
is the exclusive responsibility of the installer.
ATTENTION!
For the correct functioning of the gas appliances, the fumes
hood must be perfectly positioned.
Avoid any other type of installation like in the examples
reported at the side:

5- GAS CONNECTION

5.1 The connection of the gas piping to the valve must
happen with 1/2" G pipe.
5.2 We recommend the insertion of a stop cock before
the gas unit.
Note: for the connection strictly comply with the
regulations in force. (Standards UNICIG).
6 - FUNCTIONING AND CONNECTION
OF THE FUMES INHIBITOR
The water heaters are equipped with a device that blocks
the arrival of gas to the burner and, therefore, interrupts
the appliance functioning when the flue is partially or totally
obstructed.
Such device is made of a thermostat A (fig. 6) calibrated
at 85°C ± 3 fixed on the edge of the fumes hood C and
connected to the thermocouple and the over-temperature
safety thermostat of the gas valve.
The set is part of the fumes hood kit provided with the
appliance that must be installed in compliance with the
following instructions.
The fumes thermostat A is the type with manual re-arm
(fig. 6.1). Should the appliance block, it must be re-started
as follows:
• wait 10 minutes after the block occurs;
• fully press the re-arm button P on the thermostat;
• re-start the water heater by following the instructions for
the normal ignition.
Should the defect repeat, do not repeat appliance ignition
but request the intervention of a qualified technician to
remove the cause of the problem.

YES
NO
The device must not be removed for any reason; in
case of malfunctioning of the flue, the combustion
products and, therefore, the carbon monoxide also,
may flow into the premises, causing a serious danger
for the occupiers.
For the same reason, in case of defect, the replacement
with original spare parts must be carried out only and
exclusively by qualified staff, being careful to correctly
position the various components.
