Central ventilation unit – KWL 170 W/W ET
Proceed as follows to modify the unit:
m
Risk of injury due to the unit door/back panel and the heat exchanger falling down!
The unit door/back panel and the heat exchanger can fall down when removing and cause serious injuries.
> Wear protective footwear.
> Carefully remove the unit door/rear wall and the heat exchanger with both hands.
– Adaptation Exhaust air side
1. Unhook upwards and remove the unit door panel (magnetic).
2. Loosen and remove the screws in the unit door and back panel.
3. Turn unit 180°.
4. If the supply air supply should be at the top, replace the unit back panel and tighten by hand using screws. Do not
use a cordless screwdriver or the like!
5. Leave unit door open for further installation steps.
– Adaptation Supply air supply top/bottom
1. Unhook upwards and remove the unit door panel (magnetic).
2. Loosen and remove the screws in the unit door.
3. Remove heat exchanger.
4. Carefully pull the supply air fan unit on the metal bracket towards the centre of the unit.
5. Loosen both cable connectors and thread the plugs out of the fixing lugs.
6. Turn supply air fan unit 180° (open fan side now facing down).
7. Reinsert the cable connectors in the provided holders (round/square) and connect plugs.
8. Reinsert the supply air fan unit into the body and check for tight fit.
9. Leave unit door open for further installation steps.

Install unit

1. Install enclosed wall rail horizontally (fixing bracket at top) on the wall with suitable fixings (see Fig. 12 and Fig. 13).

Risk of injury due to the high weight of the heat exchanger!
The heat exchanger can fall down and cause serious injuries when removed.
> Wear protective footwear.
> Carefully remove the heat exchanger from the unit with both hands.
2. Remove the heat exchanger from the unit to reduce the weight (see Fig. 14).
3. Hang the unit mounting bracket on the wall rail and additionally fix it to the wall with the lower mounting bracket (see
Fig. 15).
4. Ensure that the unit is fixed to the wall.
5. Reattach the unit door and tighten by hand using screws. Do not use a cordless screwdriver or the like!
